A brief word about fees before you hire any Direct Response copywriter:  Be sure to check out their samples, client list and personal experience carefully.  Be sure to find out if they write every word themselves -- you'd be surprised how many "farm" their work out.  Be sure to ask if they've ever actually WORKED in Direct Marketing so you know if they know exactly what you need.

Yes.  And no.

Yes -- I guarantee my copy will be on time, on target and meet your standards every time in every way.  If you require revisions, just let me know.  I'll make the changes you want and get the revised files to you quickly.  I'm not satisfied until you are.

No -- I do not guarantee results.  Having written countless big winners for dozens of companies over my 26 year career, it's very likely that I'll write one for you too.  My goal is to write a winning package every time.  But there's a reason we test all the time in direct marketing -- because sometimes a flawlessly created and executed package just doesn't win.

If you ever run into anyone who tells you they guarantee a winner, you better run away as fast as you can.  Because if they're willing to lie about something that basic, they're probably not worthy of your business.

Do you ever meet with clients in person?

Never say never.  But let’s say rarely. 

The fact of the matter is, I’ve NEVER found a client I couldn’t satisfy, or a product I couldn’t promote just by using phone and email.  But if you feel it’s absolutely necessary that we meet, who am I to argue.  I would be happy to meet with you on an expenses-paid basis and at a billable hourly rate.
